Anyone know of a way to hide my starred messages from my inboard.I just don't like it sitting there and would rather keep it safe from accidental deletion.

Thanx. I'm beginning to believe there is no way as I've explored all the settings. I was hoping there was a hidden setting i did not find. I just have to live with it or change to Google, right!

One of the great features that Samsung Messages has. It won't be accidentally deleted. When you try to delete all messages, a pop-up message will appear asking if you want to delete the starred messages. Check the photo.

Well you can use SMS backup and restore to save specific conversations. Then you will still have your important chats backed up in case of accidental deletion.

You have to choose what's important to you, using Samsung messages and having your starred chats visible, or using Google messages and enjoying the archive feature.
