Galaxy S22

Hi, I'm using a Galaxy S22 SM‑S901U (single SIM) with firmware PDA S901USQS6EXF8 / CSC OYN / Android 14. Still no One UI 7 update via Settings or Smart Switch, despite global rollouts.
Refurbished purchase: I bought this Galaxy S22 SM‑S901U refurbished from Back Market Sweden, and I’m currently using it in Tunisia.

Firmware Details:
- Model: SM‑S901U/DS (Tunisia)
- PDA: S901USQS6EXF8 (Android 14)
- CSC: OYN (multi‑CSC, U‑variant)
- No build with Android 15 yet detected on SamMobile/SamFW

What I've tried:

- Checked OTA via Settings → Software update → Download and install

- Ran Smart Switch on PC — shows “Up to date”

- Reset network settings

- Confirmed device isn’t SIM‑locked

Observations & Question:
Others using the U1/XAA variant have already received One UI 7.
My stuck firmware appears not to have received an Android 15 build yet.
Is anyone else on SM‑S901U OYN6EXF8 still waiting? Did it eventually roll out?
If not, has switching CSC or flashing U1 firmware been the only way forward?

I’d really appreciate hearing from others with the same build and CSC, especially those in the US or abroad.
If you received One UI 7, please share your:

  • PDA / CSC version (e.g. 8FYDB),

  • CSC region (e.g. ATT, CCT, TMB, OYN),

  • How long it's been since the build hit your device.

This is forum for USA users, you should post this in forum for your region

Appreciate the suggestion, but just to clarify, I’m using a US-model Galaxy S22 (SM-S901U) not an international version so it makes complete sense to ask the US community for help regarding US firmware behavior.

My region unfortunately lacks proper support when it comes to Samsung carrier firmware quirks, which is exactly why I'm here. If others with the same model and CSC (OYN) in the US have received One UI 7, that would help confirm if the issue is simply my location or something else entirely.

Not sure why offering guidance is such an issue, but if someone asks for help and you can’t (or don’t want to) help, it’s totally okay to scroll past.

No need to police where people can ask questions, especially when it’s about a US device, in a US forum.

@MoatezBnf You will only get US carrier firmware updates when connected to that US carrier's update server.

Thanks for the info. That’s exactly why I’m trying to confirm if the carrier tied to my device has already rolled out the update, because if it has, then I can assume the issue is that I’m not currently in the US or connected to that carrier’s network.

It’s hard to know which US carrier the phone is tied to (since it was bought refurbished), and without that info, I can’t even check update schedules. That’s why I’m here asking US users, because they’re the only ones who can actually confirm if the update was pushed for this firmware.

I totally get that updates usually depend on being on the right network, but that’s precisely what I’m trying to troubleshoot. Appreciate any insight from others using the same model.

You can always try to clear the system cache 🤷‍♂️ who knows it might help.
