So I just tried the new tap to transfer feature. It works. I would like to know why I had to turn off developer options to use it. I didn't realize how snappy my phone was until I started swiping notifications and they moved away so slow. I need developer options on🤣 can someone explain?

Must be because of the added security for using a debit card to tap to pay an individual.  I still would put in an error report to see if it's supposed to act this way.  Is your animation speed so horrible that turning off developer mode would be a hardship?  Also, how often are you going to use the new feature that if would make it worthwhile to turn off developer mode?  Are you only going to use it once in a blue moon, or are you giving money to people every day? (If so, give me some) 🙂 Tap to pay only works when you are in the vicinity of the person you are transferring money to (you have to have their card or their phone), so the rest of the time you would be paying up by whatever your usual method is.  Ultimately, you have to decide which element is most important to you.

I think I'll do that, and I'm not giving out money😂😂😂 I'd just like to transfer money faster between my accounts. Several things have made that difficult so I'd prefer not to have to wait 3 business days or some other nonsense

I generally Zelle myself money from one bank to another.  It's instant.  Since Zelle does not allow you to use the same phone number or email address at multiple banks, I use my email at one bank and my phone number at the other.  I do not use my debit card for purchases, so I don't keep it in my e-wallets.  I don't see a point where this new feature would be useful to me, as I am not usually next to the person I am paying back, but it could happen.  But, I can see how it would be useful for a great many people.

I would think you can *only* use cards with tap to pay, how else would the NFC read it?  If you don't have a tap to pay card (who doesn't?), you'd have to tap phones.

Yeah, I was just saying I've only tried sending money by tapping a card and not tapping phones

It's a new feature, there may be bugs. Put in an error report.
