Galaxy S22So the new "record your call" button cannot be disabled and I went through all of the tech support too but to no avail. My ear, which is not overly large or fleshy, keeps activating the button. Samsung's remedy is to use bluetooth devices instead. But I figured out a work-around. It does not work 100% of the time but it has reduced the frequency of inadvertent activations. No need to thank me but please feel free to share.

Galaxy S22I have not once accidentally activated the call record button with my face or any other method.
If the record button is too intrusive, you can switch to another dialer (such as Phone by Google). You don't have to use the native dialer app.

Galaxy S22I have also never experienced accidental activation of the feature.
It should not be possible to accidentally touch anything while the phone is up to your ear if the proximity sensor is working properly. Your phone uses the proximity sensor to turn off the screen when it detects it is near an object during a call.
If your proximity sensor is not working, it may be due to an accessory you are using such as a screen protector that is too thick or lacks proper cutouts (matte and privacy protectors are also more likely to cause this) or a case that fits the phone incorrectly and prevents the sensor from activating.
If accessories are not the culprit, you may be experiencing a hardware failure. In such a case, you will need to visit a certified Samsung repair center to fully diagnose the issue and have any required repairs completed by a certified technician.
