Galaxy S22So my phone keeps asking me what I open my Samsung text message app if I want to switch to Google and I always say not now. well I dropped water on my phone and when I wiped it it opened up the app and switched to Google message, so I went back and set it back to samsung message as the default. When I went back to my home screen the message icon was missing so I did all the normal things to try to bring it back to my home screen and it is completely gone. I actually have to go into the Samsung store in open my messages through there. It doesn't give me the option to delete and re-download and nothing I have tried or no videos I ever watched have helped me bring the app back up. Somebody please help! by the way I have an s22 Ultra

Galaxy S22When I go to the Galaxy store it shows that it's downloaded, but it does not give me the option to uninstall or to do anything except update and it's already updated so it says uninstall update then I tried that and that did nothing.

Galaxy S22Just to be clear, are you suggesting that Samsung Messages no longer appears in your app drawer for you drag to your home screen? It should be labeled simply Messages, just like Google Messages, but is the icon with the three dots on it. It may be loose in your app drawer or may be in a Samsung folder at the beginning of the app drawer.

Galaxy S22That's exactly it it's not in my app drawer and when I go to the Samsung store it shows that it is downloaded to my phone but it doesn't give me the option to uninstall and then when I go to my Google Play Store I can't find the Samsung messaging app. The only way that I can open my text messages is going into settings and opening it that way.
