Galaxy S22When you use a lockscreen shortcut, you have to swipe the icon, not tap it like you do on the home screen.

Galaxy S22For most apps, you will have to unlock your phone if you don't have extend unlock on. So swiping the icon will, indeed, bring up the unlock screen. The icon on your lock screen just means that you can quickly access the app instead of unlocking your phone, locating your app and opening it up. You will be able to swipe the app to open it, but you will first have to unlock your phone. It is not meant to bypass unlocking, it's just meant for quick access to the app itself.
You can turn extend lock on and then you won't get the unlock screen, you will go straight to the app. if you turn on biometrics and register a fingerprint, you most likely will get the option to unlock with the fingerprint. But, you will *still* have to unlock your phone to use the quick access apps.
