Hey, so I've been an iPhone user for many years but I wanted a change and heard good things about android and Samsung so I got the Galaxy S22 Ultra. I'm having quite a few issues adjusting, but one of my main issues is currently with the notification settings, particularly for the Gmail app. I get a lot of emails and I want to be notified about unread emails through badge notifications ONLY. The badge notifications work OK and after a lot of tweaking settings I've stopped the lockscreen notifications appearing, but I can't stop the notifications appearing on the notification panel that pulls down from the top and it's really annoying me! Is there any way to do this? I can't find any settings to do just that and chatgpt and Google have been no help!
You can long press on the app icon, tap the circled "i", or go to settings/apps/Gmail and select notifications and turn off the notifications. You should still get your badges, but no notifications.
