Galaxy S22I am sharing this to inform other Samsung users and to understand if others are facing the same issue.
After installing the latest software update on my Galaxy S22, my device has started overheating continuously, even during normal usage. This is not occasional warmth the phone remains hot for long periods and feels unsafe to use.
What worries me most is that this is not the first time this has happened.
Earlier, after a Samsung update, my phone started overheating.
This eventually led to
1. Motherboard failure
2. Battery bulging (a serious safety risk)
3. During service repair, the camera was damaged, and I had to fix it at my own cost
4. Repairs took a very long time, and the overall experience resulted in loss of confidence
Now, after the new update, the same overheating pattern has returned.
1. Overheating followed by battery bulging is not a minor issue — it is a fire and safety hazard
2. I work in oil & gas field environments, and carrying an overheating device is extremely risky
3. Samsung phones have a known history of battery incidents, which makes this even more concerning
I was genuinely planning to upgrade to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but after reading multiple Samsung Community threads where S25 Ultra users are also reporting overheating and battery drain, I have put that plan on hold.
If software updates are capable of triggering hardware damage, users should be warned or protected. Repeated paid repairs do not solve the underlying issue and do not restore trust.
Is anyone else facing continuous overheating after recent updates?
Has anyone received a permanent solution, not just a temporary repair?
Are these issues being officially acknowledged at a higher level?
I am sharing this purely for awareness and safety. I hope Samsung takes these concerns seriously before a device failure leads to something worse.
