Galaxy S22@Shaneless There is no setting to disable automatic taking of selfies because it isn't a new feature. Yes, if it detects a face it puts up a square but it does not automatically take a picture.

Galaxy S22Edit: Discovered from another user, there really is an auto-capture feature when you show a palm. (And now i know what you meant when you mentioned a palm). It's a feature I never knew existed. The shirt I was wearing may have been setting the auto-capture off repeatedly. That would explain why the condition of the phone being at arms length was needed. It would then detect something on the shirt (as if it was a palm) and then the yellow square would focus on either mine or Deadpool's face. I posted the possible offending shirt to the user that informed of the feature.
