Somewhere around the time of this most recent update, my S22 Ultra has started vigorously taking screenshots whenever it feels the need. If I set the phone down, pick it up, double tap to turn off/on the screen, close an app, etc... I notice it happening probably 10 times a day, but my gallery shows many more.

I plan on doing a full reset soon, posting here is kinda a last resort.

Is there any logging available so I can see where the screenshot call is coming from?

Before someone suggests it, I am running enterprise level AV/malware protection, and have been doing so since I got this phone about 6 months ago.

Extra sensitivity is not enabled. The only screenshot action which is turned on is the standard volume down + power, which I can guarantee I am not accidentally hitting 10+ times a day.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
John

I'd recommend turning off palm swipe to capture. Go to
Settings > Advanced features > motions and gestures > palm swipe to capture (pictures attached)

Maybe the edge of your screen is getting wiped and that could be taking screenshots

Hope this helps 🙂Screenshot_20221224_030817_Settings_1000004350_1671872897.pngScreenshot_20221224_030837_Settings_1000004354_1671872917.png

I appreciate the suggestion, however I failed to mention that setting is already disabled.

I do, and forgot about the double tap setting. If that is the cause of these issues, then samsung really failed on the implementation of that setting. It's off now, I have a bad feeling that just fixed it, time will tell.

I hope it does. Their implementation is really sensitive, they should probably as some conditions for it and a sensitivity slider.

I really appreciate your help. Over all the years of owning way too many samsung devices, I have never really utilized this app. This ended up being a nice surprise.

Thanks again. Happy holidays or merry Christmas, whichever doesn't offend 🤣
