Galaxy S22My PHONE is broken as in it does not work with ANY GPS type apps! I received a message that Samsung assumes no responsibility for this problem caused by their phone! My attorney says otherwise! Do you have a Samsung GPS app that will not display a flashing "Attempting to connect your phone" ad nauseam? Galaxy Z Fold 6

Galaxy S22- Carrier blamed Samsung; Samsung blamed Google; Google didn't respond. Car dealership charged for repair but didn't succeed.

Galaxy S22As a starting assumption, the S22 is about four years old and is likely running Android 12 or 13. The first thing to check is location settings: go into Settings, confirm that location services are enabled, and make sure the app in question has permission to use location data.
If thereโs any doubt, open Google Maps, sign in if youโre not already, and tap the location button. It should either pinpoint your location within a couple hundred feet or prompt you to enable or approve location access.
There are also Google accountโlevel location permissions that can block this, but thatโs a separate (and slightly deeper) rabbit hole.

Galaxy S22Quick Fixes (Try these first)
Check Location Settings: Go to Settings > Location, ensure it's ON, and set to High Accuracy (under Location services/Mode).
App Permissions: For apps like Maps, go to Settings > Apps > Maps > Permissions, and set Location to Allow all the time.
Clear Cache/Data: In Settings > Apps > Maps > Storage, try Clear Cache, then Clear Data (this signs you out of Maps).
Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings (resets Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data).
Reset All Settings: Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset all settings (resets settings without deleting data).

Galaxy S22This is the same user who posted earlier blaming me for everything! Would Galaxy Z Fold 6 lead you to help me in some way? Galaxy Z Fold 6 is not listed by Samsung.

Galaxy S22Which apps are you referring to? If your GPS apps are showing an error, perhaps there is an issue with the location services or other sensors on your phone. Have you run a diagnostic? Have you put in an error report? How did you receive a message that Samsung assumes no responsibility? Was it a response to an error report? An email? A pop up on your screen? Samsung does not have GPS apps, Google does. All location services are handled by Google. Which could actually be why Samsung assumes no responsibility - it's a Google issue.
Providing details about what it happening would go a long way in others being able to assist you.

Galaxy S22Even Waze does not work with the same error message. All other phones work fine. I have done all the standard troubleshooting many times over.
