I have the Samsung s21 fe 5g and was does my phone get the ui 8 update? If so how can I go about getting it? BC I go to setting to do the update and it won't work. Help
It's unlocked only to the point that it will function on another carrier's network (not necessarily receive updates from that carrier). I can see from your carrier software info that someone previously tried to flash S20 (G981U) firmware to your phone. You're lucky that it actually works. If you want to update the OS on your phone, you'll have to choose one of the options I previously mentioned.
I can pretty much guarantee Verizon won't do this, especially if you're not a current customer. Carriers typically don't offer this service. An authorized service center like uBreakiFix is your best bet.
it more than likely won't get One UI 8, S21 regular or S21 fe, is getting to be old.... rule of thumb technology advances so quick that if you don't have at least this year's model new release or last year's you're going to be behind on everything and nowadays with the specials they offer for most carriers it's easier worth it just to go through them cuz you get a free upgrade almost every year
