Text Messaging no longer works in car!

I have recently received the latest update for my S21.

Since this update I can now no longer receive or send text messages from my Land Rover. prior to the update everything worked fine. When I press on text messaging on my in car infotainment unit it jus says 'Text Messaging Not Available'

I have tried to look at bluetooth settings and the text messaging button no longer exists, only calls and audio. I have unpaired the units, repaired and still nothing works. Has anyone else had this issue please, and fixed it?

I see I'm not the only one with this issue. I have 2019 Nissan Murano and a S24 FE and all of a sudden messages stopped coming through. I had my car updated and no luck. The car repairman had a S21 and it worked just fine. Samsung wants me to use android auto. I don't want to use that all the time.

Finally fixed my issue with text not coming through in car. I turned text off on car panel and left off for a few days, once I turned it back on it the little envelope popped up and text have started coming in again. I waited a couple days before writing this. Hope this helps

Hurray! Last week, an update was pushed to my Galaxy S21. Today, for the heck of it, I clicked on messages in my Highlander. Text messages are back!

I also have this problem, with a new Samsung A25 5G in a 2016 Landrover Discovery Sport. Did you do anything to get/request the update. Do you have any details of the update that fixed things, version or other reference?

Samsung Galaxy A23 suddenly stopped sending text messages to Toyota Tundra.  Had been working since purchase and, after much trouble shooting, determined had to be software issue with the A23. A different Samsung phone to same vehicle works fine.  Also verified the A23 would not load messages to a different vehicle but the other Samsung is ok.  Believe to be a bug with an update.

I have a Samsung A23 and a Nissan Frontier 2023.  Text worked fine until a month or so ago.  Will try an S23 in the Frontier and see if that works.  Not sure whether to hope the problem, is with the A23 or the Frontier.

Same  here. Used to work on my S23 FE. Currently on One UI version 8 and Android  version 16.
