I have a Samsung Galaxy S21+, and I've noticed that the Samsung Health app has not been syncing my data with the cloud for a few days now. I've cleared the app cache and made sure that "Sync with Samsung Cloud" is enabled. I have no external devices like smartwatches and no other health apps. Is there a chance that support for the app is being discontinued on the S21+?

I haven't reset the app yet nor reinstalled it, but I will update this post when I do and tell you the results.

UPDATE 1: I've reset the app and it cleared all my data, now it won't sync my data at all because it keeps saying "No synced data".

UPDATE 2: It seems that the app is syncing my data now and all previously synced data has been restored.

It is possible to reset an app without uninstalling it and reinstalling it, by simply deleting the data in the app info. This will not delete your health data only the data contained for any settings and customizations you made to the app (start page settings, exercise list, and app settings). It basically does the same thing as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It should not delete any unsynced data, as that is stored on your device and will resync to the cloud after the reset.

Oh thanks for the tip! Just to confirm u mean clear both the cache and data within "storage" in the "app info"? Is this "the data" u're referring to?

You can clear the data, as well.  Yes, that is the area I am speaking of.  I'm not completely sure, but I think clearing the data automatically clears the cache, but I know just clearing the cache does not clear the data.  I'm pretty sure I saw my cache disappear when I cleared the data on one of my apps the other day.

It now says "no synced data"... How do I get it restored like OP?
Edit: still not restoring. I'm worried I deleted years and years of my Steps record. Please tell me I'm wrong...

It may take a day or two. Make sure sync is turned on and let it go through an overnight sync cycle. Your sync is most likely still in the cloud, it just has not reached your phone yet. You can download your historical health data.  Open the Health app, tap the dot menu on the home page, go to settings and select "download personal data".  I do not know what file format it's downloaded to or if it's readable outside of the health app.  I assume it is, as there is no "import" feature.

I just checked the sync and it says synced as of today, so it's working again. However, it synced up to when the error occurred on Sep. 21, so I lost all my data from the past 2 weeks. Is there anyway to retrieve that? Did the "clear data" delete it all?

That data is not contained in the data section of the app - thats only app settings.

OK but I see all my sync data from before sep. 21... It's blank since the sync error began. How do I get the unsynced data then?
