I have a Samsung Galaxy S21+, and I've noticed that the Samsung Health app has not been syncing my data with the cloud for a few days now. I've cleared the app cache and made sure that "Sync with Samsung Cloud" is enabled. I have no external devices like smartwatches and no other health apps. Is there a chance that support for the app is being discontinued on the S21+?

I haven't reset the app yet nor reinstalled it, but I will update this post when I do and tell you the results.

UPDATE 1: I've reset the app and it cleared all my data, now it won't sync my data at all because it keeps saying "No synced data".

UPDATE 2: It seems that the app is syncing my data now and all previously synced data has been restored.

I honestly don't know, my belief has always been that the data remains on the device where it was collected, synced to the cloud and then synced to the app.  The sync process may have downloaded your older data but has not yet caught up with the newer data.  In any case, is the last two weeks' worth of data critical to you? Wait a day and see if it returns.  Did you download your health data?

OK I'll wait. I did but it was just today's record. I kinda wish I downloaded all my data before I hit "clear data" in case. I mean, I can certainly live without the 2 weeks but I've been monitoring it closely a lot lately, and I hate knowing it might be gone. Anyway, at least the sync's working. Thanks for ur help.

You can still download the data to check to see if it's in there somewhere.  As I said, I never downloaded mine, so I don't know what file format it comes down in.  I imagine it's either a PDF or xml file.   Downloading it shouldn't remove it from the cloud, it just makes a copy of the file.  The data is not removed unless you elect to leave Samsung Health.

I re-downloaded the synced data, and it's a CSV file. The 2 week gap is still there. Just FYI the "clear data" does in fact delete the unsync data. I just chatted with Samsung live help and they confirmed. It sucks but oh well...lesson learned

Sometimes losing some data is the price one has to pay to fix an Issue.

I believe the text supportagent was incorrect. I have reset rhe data on many apps without once losing the actual data. Only the app settigs. It's quite possuble that the data is not stored locally and because your phone wasn't syncing with the cloud, the data just was not available to sync. It might be kept locally for a day, until it syncs.

The agent did send me the path for the unsynced data, but said it's not accessible unless the phone is rooted. However, he said the "clear data" likely already deleted it. Too much of a hassle

What I'm saying is that clearing the app data had nothing to do with deleting the statistical data. The app data is ONLY the settings.

Yeah I know, I've done it before too for other apps, and I thought it's just the app settings too. And I was paranoid since I really didn't want to lose it. But as soon as I reopened it, all my records were gone, and the restored data only synced up to the last successful sync date. So the "clear data" certainly did something...

You could try a selective restore of the health app from your backup. It may or may not replicate the error. You'd have to do it before the automatic backup takes place tonight, or the new configuration will overwrite it
