S21 security updates

I understand that a security issue was detected in March on android devices. My S21 appears to be vulnerable. The last security update was February 1st. I also read the Samsung ended quarterly updates on the S21. I’ve noticed that Samsung seems to end support on its older models where other manufacturers continue support. Is this correct?

All manufacturers end support for older models. Samsung actually provides support longer than many other OEMs. The S21 series is now receiving quarterly software updates and will continue to receive security updates through January 2026.

I was reading that they are covering for 7 years starting with S24. So, my S21 does not get this extended coverage. My wife's iPhone 12 purchased at the same time as my S21 is cover for a full 7 years. I'm disappointed that Samsung is not offering that same cover as their competitors.

Only 4 years i believe on s21 so expected to start less updates
