Galaxy S21Prior to UI 6.1 the keyboard button, when enabled was located on the right side of the navigation bar. Following installation of UI 6.1, it moved to the left side, and only visible when the Samsung keyboard is not present. When enabled, and using alternate keyboards (e.g., GBoard, SwiftKey, etc.) as default, the keyboard button is in lower left side of navigation screen. It is visible because the microphone button is not present. As soon as the keyboard is changed to the Samsung keyboard as default, the microphone appears, removing the keyboard button. Even when the microphone button is turned off, I guess it's placeholder hides/overwrites the keyboard button. Recommend moving the keyboard button back to the right side of the navigation bar so there is no longer interference.
Samsung keyboard with microphone in left corner.
āGboard keyboard (could also be SwiftKey keyboard) with keyboard button in left corner. Prior to 6.1, this was in right corner.

Galaxy S21āyou notice here how I have the keyboard lower left and I'm using gboard in this image.
I've highlighted the down arrow, next to that keyboard logo, click on that down arrow.
You will then be presented with the following:
āmake sure show keyboard button is switched on now go ahead and try Google voice typing.
Well then see the image you have presented in your original message, with the microphone in the lower left.
To change that to a keyboard image just click on a keyboard.
I would pick gboard because gboard will come with a microphone in the upper right hand corner, has seen in my top image here who am I posted it in this reply.
I don't believe the Samsung keyboard has this default microphone on its imprint. That's the main reason I like using the gboard keyboard. If the Samsung keyboard came defaulted with the microphone in the upper right of its toolbar, I wouldn't mind that of one bit. Having to switch to Google voice input for that I don't like it.
So when you want to change that lower left to either a microphone or a keyboard use the down arrow to change what that is but make sure you have keyboard image switched on.

Galaxy S21Adding to that, if you have it switched to microphone and you don't happen to see the down arrow which would be rare, just click and hold the microphone image and that same menu should pop up.
