Iโve been a loyal Samsung customer for years, with multiple Samsung products including appliances, monitors, and TVs. I own a Galaxy S21 Ultra and am extremely disappointed that major Android updates will stop at Android 15.

Galaxy S21This is a ridiculous perspective. Its okay for them to end support for functional devices ...because.
I guess I'll be pessimistic then (not sure how it 'arbitrary'), and tech companies can continue to maintain their miserable reputations.

Galaxy S21Do you think Snapdragon should also code for the modem and SoC in year S21U, this is also why support was only 4/5 years too. It not just the OS , there are drivers that have to have patches too. Snapdragon has just started to extend support with their newer hardware.

Believe it or not I mean truthfully you can run that phone as long as you want it's still going to work You're just not going to get security updates which overall as long as you make sure you're on one of the last ones that run smoothly You're not going to have a problem and newer devices unfortunately are being restricted a lot more with dialer codes and ability to do all sorts of stuff which really sucks cuz having control of your device is a good thing in my mind and I've been with Samsung for years I've had devices that run out of support after the promise so many years of upgrades which is truthfully almost like anything nowadays Windows 7 stuff like that you can still run it still works just no regular security updates and really that's not a big deal as long as you're not expecting future long-term newer apps may require newer versions of software which older phones might not have the ability to get but they should especially if you sideload them or whatnot but that's why you get with a carrier or you look for a deal get a phone or get a device on them kind of thing therefore every so often you have the option of a new phone rather than kind of saying what predicament you're in I had the s20 that one timed out let's see the S10 I still have them as backups if something were to happen to I can take the sim out and they still work so yeah just a little tip there that it will vary on the amount of updates devices can get depending on how new they're software is processors everything like that there's a lot that make up those updates as well as apps on their own might update to newer security features without even having newer devices ready for that yet
