Updated to One UI8 a week ago but now when I check for updates I get this error message

According to your "last update" info, your phone was updated two weeks ago. I'm pretty sure there haven't been any updates available since then.

Yes but previous to this I would receive a message stating no update. Not an error message like this.
This also now appears on my wife's phone.

If you both have T-Mobile, there may be a temporary problem with the update server. I wouldn't worry about it until another update is available.

Do you think the endless app for smart switch would remedy your error message and push the update?

There is currently no update so not sure if smart switch would show. I did check.
Just odd use to get up to date not an error

What phone model is it? Did you try using data? Do you have enough storage as that can prevent updates, i think. Did you clear your cache partition after the update? Maybe change your dns? My update was December 1. Whatever you do, i would backup your phone before updating etc. Strange. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
