Galaxy S PhonesDownload Good Lock's Nice Catch module and turn on "detect sound history". Next time you hear the sound, you can check the app to see which app is responsible. Then you can either adjust that app's settings or uninstall the app. Did you, by any chance, download a third party clock app that is set for hourly chimes?

Galaxy S PhonesThat's your culprit, then. I came across this situation last year with someone and had downloaded it to check the settings, there is actually a setting in the app to turn off the alarm.
