Upon updating my phone on 2024/10/08, I have observed that the edge panel screenshot function has been removed.

I used this function 5+ times per day. It was easily one of the most useful tools on my phone.

On the latest update, it has been replaced with some slow-to-operate, bloated AI garbage.

Please give us the option to use the old tool.

I don't mind having the new one as an option, but please give us a choice.

This current iteration is a massive step back in fluidity for user functionality from the previous patch.

I agree. This screenshot option is one of the reasons I choose Samsung Galaxy over other smartphones. I have it now after the upgrade.

Bring back the smart select options that allowed precise screenshots, not screenshot, AI garbage one. I also used the GIF screen recording option. I know you can do these options on an iPhone, I'm seriously thinking of switching away from Samsung. I've been a loyal customer since the Samsung moment. If the Galaxy S25 ultra doesn't bring it back, it's time to switch

This!! Although @samsung shouldn't need to wait for the S25 Ultra... It's a simple software feature, it should just be reintroduced as an optional edge panel just like all the other edge panels! They should have never removed it. Samsung has always been about freedom of choice and customizability. That's why I've been rocking their devices since the S4... Getting rid of the headphone jack is one thing... But getting rid of a simple but extremely useful and unique piece of software for no reason whatsoever is another thing alltogether. Unbelievable.

Used this a lot, will consider other phones if it doesn't return soon.
