My note 10+ does the same randomly. Usually when playing games.

Yeah my s20 ultra does the same thing while playing games when I haven't touched the screen for a while and I have to swipe to unlock. Don't know how to get it to stop doing it. The screen also goes very dim so I think it's a battery saving solution.

I actually run Samsung own gaming app which should stop the screen dimming.
I've actually had alot of success with the gaming app Gaming Mode, you can run free or get the paid version, both ways work surprisingly well. I still have the occasional screen lock during.

Does this issue still appear when your phone is in safe mode?

I have been having the same issue. It's rendering my phone useless since I can't record or use it for long periods of times without it locking up. It started happening after the last update about a month ago. I'm usually fine to wait until bugs are fixed but this is taking too long. It's obvious Samsung has stopped caring about it's users. This is probably my last samsung device

Have you tried clearing the cache partition on your phone?

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
  3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
  4. An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.
  6. Press Bixby / Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Bixby / Power key to select.
  8. When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  9. Press the Bixby / Power key to restart the device.
