Now if this phone my Samsung Galaxy s20 FE 5G isn't able to get updates then why in the A series still receive updates? And I know that the s20fe is supposed to be the lower end of these phones and the A's are supposed to be the lower end cheaper versions of the S phones how come they still get updates but my phone cannot? I'm requesting that you create an update for this type of phone. And if they're deprecated and they're not going to be updateable send me a new one since I just bought this one recently and that's not fair to people like me

The S20FE is on end of life quarterly security patches. I'm not sure how thats "unfair" to you, you got the phone at presumably a massive discount because of its age. Its not anyone's fault but your own if you purchases a phone that no longer receives updates.

The S20 FE was only ever going to receive software updates through March 2025. It is currently receiving quarterly security updates through March 2026.

When you purchased it is immaterial. If you wanted longer support, you should have bought a newer device.

With all due respect, you bought a phone that will be 5 years old in September.

How is that Samsung's fault.
You should have bought a newer A series phone probably for the same amount of money.
I just checked Back Market, you could get an A15 for the same price..

Until the s20 for Samsung had only ever committed to up to 4 years of software updates and when they release the s24 series they committed to up to 7 years of software updates which they only back dated to the s23 series some of the a series devices as early as 2023 had gotten commitments for up to 5 years of software updates which was only backdated one year if at all

You cannot get an update for a phone whose update period has ended, regardless of whether or not it can handle the update.  If you want an update, you will have buy a current model phone. It doesn't matter when you bought it, what matters is the release date and the update cycle it carried with it.
