When my S20+ phone is locked...or possible even when the screen is dark and an alarm goes off it pops up in full screen which has the option to change the snooze interval which I use every day. Unfortunately, when I am using the phone and/or the screen is on only a banner pops up and that ability doesn't exist.

I've read in multiple places just tap the time part and it goes to full screen but that does not work on my phone...only the banner stays up and the alarm keeps going off.

Is there a way to force the alarm to always come up as full screen so I can use the alarm the way I'd like?

It should go to fill screen if you tap the banner, or the notification. You should be able to either put it back to full screen or dismiss/snooze the alarm.

I sympathize. I usually go to sleep with music, but the music doesn't play when the screen is off. So I gotta keep the screen up! Do they not realize how much work goes into finding the tiny off button when you're waking up and you can't have full-screen. Let us change the option!

I don't use my alarm for anything beyond waking up....

Why doesn't your music play when the screen is off, mine does?  I believe so does everyone else's.  No one would be able to play music when their phone is unattended or in their pocket or a sleeve if the music were to go off when the screen goes off.  Besides, unless you are waking up every 10 minutes to turn the screen back on, the screen is going to time out.  If you turn the Now Bar off (disable everything on the Now Bar), your alarm should show full screen.
