I find it cumbersome to take the phone out of its case, then sd card from Sim tray, use a sd card usb adapter, plug into computer and add songs.

So, I am wondering if I can connect the phone into PC usb port that recognizes the card as an external device. That way , it will be much easier to move new music into the card.

Yes thatā€™s possible I never removed my sd card when I used one I always just connected my phone to a computer and used windows explorer to copy and paste files to my sd card

Thanks Gary. That's awesome. Tell ya. Switched from ancient iPhone 7 to budget Samsung phone. Very pleased.

Or you can just get a mp3 download app off the play store. They have some good ones.

Either my budget A15 won't allow microsd cards to be recognized as an external storage or I am doing it wrong. Usb c cable from phone to PC's usb c port. Windows 11 shows A15 connected as a device. That's it. No internal or external storage. All musc folders are on the card. Was hoping it would show it as portable mp3 players do. I will try usb c to usb a cable. I don't believe it makes a difference. Bummer.

From what your describing it sounds like itā€™s not capable to do it I would suggest getting a usb c drive and using it to make it easyier

Copy the music from your computer to the usb stick and then insert the usb drive into your phone and copy the files from the USB to your phone
