I've been taking some pictures of important documents when dealing with my mother's estate. Things like her her driver's license (canceled) and social security card among other things.
Because they can be used for identity fraud or just regular fraud, I've been using the "secure folder" app.
However, I just noticed that the photos do not show up when I connect my phone to the computer to back up the files. Makes sense.
Attempting to move a pic out of Secure folder does not give me the option to put it into an album like "secure", it just dumps it in with all the other photos. Since the photos were taken over different dates, finding them again to move them back after a backup is a chore.
The files are too large to e-mail in one batch (thank you Samsung for only allowing massive file sizes for the high res photos and not allowing a lower rez option like 1280x1024, 1360x768 or 1600x900). I'd have to do 3 at a time and the e-mail is probably insecure.
Is there an easy way to back up the files onto my computer (then have Windows encrypt them) from the secure folder? Alternately an easy way to move the files from the secure folder to an album named "secure" temporally, back up the files, then move them back quickly?
I think I found it, move it to an album in the secure folder, then move the album out of the secure folder. Connect to the computer, and copy the folder. Encrypt the folder on Windows and move the album back to secure folder.
On a related topic to backups, I just heard from my boss that I can delete all the work-related photos from 2023.
I have them backed up in a big folder on my hard drive, but I took the time on the train today to segregate them all (hopefully) into a single folder/album on my phone.
Is there an easy way to make a list of those files in that album/folder on the phone and then have Windows search my backup folder and delete them so I don't have to hunt them down twice? There were hundreds of pics to delete freeing up gigabytes of space, and due to the huge file sizes that is NOT an exaggeration.
