I hope for the S26U Samsung finally figures out the Oleophobic coating on the display. When I first got the S24U with the Corning Gorilla Armor glass anti-reflective screen, I was super excited, it was amazing. I was never a screen protector user, after only 2 months the Oleophobic coating wore off in the areas that you touch most frequently with awful greasy smudges that were very hard to clean, the more you cleaned your screen the worse it would get, you couldn't just use a microfiber cloth to clean it. This forced me to get a screen protector. Trying to find the perfect screen protector that would still have the anti-reflective properties was an expensive trial and error. The criteria was it had to be glass, no film for me. Yes, I finally found one that wasn't clear glass.

Move on to the S25U, still the same, Oleophobic coating wearing off after just a couple of months, again having to solve the problem with a screen protector.

I am now hoping for 3 times the charm for the S26U!

Have never been a screen protector person, until the S24U. My phones didn't get scratched because I never put it in a pocket. Always in a purse with nothing else.

Ok this makes sense.

Mine is always in one of my pockets or somewhere in my backpack.

But also I have bad hands so I'm always worried about dropping it and cracking the screen

A screen protector only protects from scratches. Glass is glass and glass breaks. Hit the right angle on the drop and they both break.

I always use a screen protector. Helps in protecting my screen in my line of work. But Samsung should come up with a solution for the coating issue for those who don't use a protector.

It's hard to find a screen protector that, is matte and no rainbow effect with polarized sunglasses.
