I hope for the S26U Samsung finally figures out the Oleophobic coating on the display. When I first got the S24U with the Corning Gorilla Armor glass anti-reflective screen, I was super excited, it was amazing. I was never a screen protector user, after only 2 months the Oleophobic coating wore off in the areas that you touch most frequently with awful greasy smudges that were very hard to clean, the more you cleaned your screen the worse it would get, you couldn't just use a microfiber cloth to clean it. This forced me to get a screen protector. Trying to find the perfect screen protector that would still have the anti-reflective properties was an expensive trial and error. The criteria was it had to be glass, no film for me. Yes, I finally found one that wasn't clear glass.

Move on to the S25U, still the same, Oleophobic coating wearing off after just a couple of months, again having to solve the problem with a screen protector.

I am now hoping for 3 times the charm for the S26U!

Have you tried the liquid glass protector? Ive been using mine for about a year without issues. I was sceptical at first but after applying it to my s24U, galaxy watch and my wifes devices, no scratches, cracks or smudges. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿป

I would worry about my trade-in being rejected should I go that route.
Besides, it probably would take away the anti-reflective glass effect. Not willing to give that up.

It will do neither of those and in fact the liquid glass protection offers a lifetime guarantee so should you crack your screen with the liquid screen protector on it this company will replace your screen at no cost.

Im at work right now but when i get home, i will surely take a picture of the package. And yes, I was like you, skeptical and unbelieving. But at the time there were no glass screen protectors they were only plastic ones due to the fingerprint issue sensor on the glass screen protectors and all the glass screen protectors that I had tried had this round plastic dot where the thumb scanner would be and I didn't like that either so I opted to try the alternative and lo and behold man I swear by it that stuff is great.

I have no problems with the fingerprint scanner with the matte glass screen protector I am using on my S25U. I didn't have to redo the my fingerprints.
