Galaxy RingI had my wife get me the Galaxy Ring as a Christmas present. So far it has been nice, but I would like to take it into work. The problem is I work in a government facility where smart technology is not allowed. The Galaxy Ring meets the NSA requirements to be allowed in a secure area. However the device is not allowed to send a Bluetooth signal while inside the secure area. I would like to wear the ring to monitor my health throughout the day.
The question is, can you turn off the Bluetooth signal on the Galaxy Ring?

Galaxy RingI do not believe the ring has a large enough memory to store your vitals until they are synced with the device. I think it passes the data directly to the phone in real time (disclaimer: I do not know this as a fact). I wouldn't think it would meet NSA requirements if the BT can't be turned off. Maybe it does because the ring can only pair and transmit to a compatible device. You can only disconnect it from your phone. I don't know whether that will prevent the ring from seeking a BT connection.

Galaxy Ring@whersmyelephant Sorry but turning off Bluetooth for the Galaxy Ring is not possible. You can turn off Bluetooth on your phone but I'm sure the ring would still send out period pings via Bluetooth to try and connect to the phone.

Galaxy Ring1. Airplane Mode via the Ring App - Open the Galaxy Wearable app → Galaxy Ring → Settings and enable Airplane Mode (if available). This disables all wireless signals, including Bluetooth.
2. Disconnect in the App - Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone and forget or disconnect the ring. The ring will continue tracking health metrics offline, storing the data until it reconnects.

Galaxy RingIf they disconnect/unpair the ring, they will have to go through the inconvenience of re-pairing when they get off work and then re-pairing it when they get home. Not an ideal solution. If airplane mode is available for the ring, that would be the best option.
