Hi.

I have the Note 20 U.

I have a Samsung Smart TV

When I go to pair the Phone with the TV, the SMART Things app on my Phone says the device is already registered and I need the owner's permission or something

Help.

Hello TigerTanaka, Thank you for being part of the Community. We understand linking a phone to the TV can be frustrating.

Here is a link with steps to connect the phone to a TV: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062585/

If the TV is registered to another Samsung account, you will not be able to use SmartThings to link the devices. A Samsung Account is required for network-based smart services, including streaming apps and other smart features. Without an Account login, only external device connections (e.g., via HDMI) and terrestrial/over-the-air TV (only for TVs with tuners) are available.
