Galaxy Note PhonesI have a Galaxy Note 20 512gb 5g phone. I have the Nationwide Talk and Text Plan, dating from about the time the Ancient Romans were around.
It is not a 5g Plan. How is it, my phone shows 5g in the Status Bar?

Galaxy Note Phones@TigerTanaka I would guess that as part of your carrier's upgrades in the area they enabled 5G. Sometimes it's easier to just turn on a new feature for everyone rather than gating it for only some.

Galaxy Note PhonesI think it's just some and-or gate in the phone motherboard is interpreting falsely that I have a 5g signal when in fact it's only capable due to Plan of receiving a 4g LTE signal

Galaxy Note PhonesSome carriers labeled their 4g LTE network as 5g towards the "end" of 4g. These signals were slightly faster, but not technically 5g.
