Sorry but I don't see them moving the camera to the middle that would then be too close to what Google is doing and what Apple is planning to do on the next model

I have no problem with stability on surfaces with my phone. My phone case compensates for the camera height, which also protects the camera housing. I believe most cases do this. Are you not using a case?
