It would be nice if the buds 3 and 3 pro came with UWB in the case. Once lost my case and couldn't find or track it. Last known location isn't that helpful. Since the galaxy buds case doesn't come with speakers at very minimum add a UWB. It's not gonna lead to less sales of the smart tag.
I suspect it's because if Samsung made them findable when they were in the case, they'd have to leave them powered even when closed in the case, and it would result in everybody's ear buds being drained when they wanted to use them.
Even if it's always in low power mode, it would often result in having to charge the buds before using them, since they would constantly be drawing power. You don't get something for nothing, and I don't think it's a good trade-off. I charged my buds after using them, and sometimes grab them on the way out the door a couple of weeks later. I'd be mad if they were dead every time I wanted to use them.
