After a recent update, there is no bass response at all when listening with ANC or Ambient sound turned off. It sounds like a cheap phone earpiece speaker now, when this issue was never present in my use since launch.
This is a product-breakng issue for me, as always using with ANC or ambient on is unfeasible and not a proper solution. I have reset the buds, I have unpaired, I have cleared data for all buds and wearable related apps, and I have tried rolling back to a previous update with other software, but that process fails to even begin, leaving me with the current software that makes these $250 buds unusable as advertised. App says the fit is fine, and these were fine since I got them, so please don't try to tell me I am somehow imagining this severe degradation of quality when not using anc or ambient.
What can be done about this? I've been using Galaxy buds since the originals, and enjoyed each of them until now. I cannot justify continuing to purchase Galaxy buds if post-purchase firmware updates will destroy the usability of these products with zero recourse or option for firmware rollback.
