Having constant issues with wifi speeds on my z fold 6 since Dec 2024

Seems like some update in Q4 made a change, constantly takes long times to load web pages and apps

Have switched off Intelligent wifi settings, checked my network speeds and other devices on same network seems to have no issues. Only way to browse at home is to use cell netowrk.

Anyone else having this trouble and if there is a solution to it?
Otherwise might need to get a device replacement in case something wrong with hardware

I don't know what an update would have to do with wi-fi data speeds.  It is possible that either your phone's storage is filling up and there is not enough "working" space left, or your cache needs to be cleaned.  Start with clearing out the caches of the browsers and apps you use.  Facebook, X, Messenger, Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, etc.  Note these cache spaces for the apps are separate from the phone's global cache.  Go to each app's settings, scroll to the storage section, tap storage, and tap empty cache.  Next, check your phone's storage remaining by going to the my files app and see how much space is left.  If you have less than 10% of your capacity, start going through your apps to see which ones you do not use often enough to justify the space being taken up (remember, you can always download again if you need it).  If either of these steps solves your immediate issue, you don't need to do anything else.  You should, however, perform regular maintenance and optimization of your phone.  Go to device care and tap on auto optimization and choose a day and time to restart your phone weekly.  Now, and after each update clear the phone's cache partition:

1. Power off your phone. Hold Power and vol up buttons until Samsung Logo appears

2. Let go of both buttons when you see the Samsung Logo appear on screen. There will be a delay while it enters recovery mode.

3. Use the volume buttons to navigate through recovery menu options and highlight “Wipe Cache Partition.” Press power button to select this option . Confirm by navigating to the yes response and tapping the power button to select.

5 .When wiping cache partition is complete, "reboot system now" should be highlighted; press power key to select it. The phone will reboot as normal.

If, after all that, you are still experiencing internet speed slowdowns, try turning off mobile data when you are on wi-fi.  I have found that sometimes the phone can't decide whether to use mobile data or wi-fi, especially when the signals are of equal strength and, therefore, jams things up.  The last option would be to reset your network connections which will erase all your Bluetooth connections and previously set up wi-fi networks and you will have to reconnect them all again.

Thank you for these suggestions
I have more than 60% free space but will try wiping the cache and other items you pointed out

With the update I thought that maybe some optimizations on wifi receiver chip may have been done that are not behaving properly

Updates only update, it does optimize after installing, but regular optimizing and restarting the phone is good practice.  Many things get gummed up between updates and sometimes and improperly maintained phone causes a bad update which only makes things worse.

@GChad I'm having no problems with Wifi speed on my Fold 6. I have 500 up / 500 down with no issue.

Are you trying an app like Speedtest or just basing it on web browsing?

Check to see if your Fold 6 is using a different DNS than your other devices. A slow DNS can cause slow web browsing.

Thank you for sharing your experience, will try the DNS check
I'm basing off of how slow things are loading, apps like Google News take 5+sec to buffer
Have tried both speed test and have deco mesh system so directly at the source
1 have 1Gig service but with fold 6 and speed test can barely hit 400
