Hi, I downloaded photos from Google photos to my samsung gallery. On the photos section of gallery they all appear under today's date even though the meta data says the correct date. There is no sort option and I cant find a way to put them in their correct place. Any ideas please ?
Note: if you change the time on a photo by a second it formats into the right place automatically. However this doesn't work with the videos.
Because they were all downloaded today, that's why they are showing today's date. If the metadata is correct, that's all you need to worry about. If you are in the all photos tab, there is no sort feature, they will all be in the order by the date they were added to the phone. You can only sort photos within albums. That sort goes by the metadata. So, my suggestion to you would be to create an album called download, put all your photos in that album, and sort them by date order. You can also then parcel them out into other albums you create to make it manageable (travel, family, scenery, etc.). In the gallery app, the Camera and Screenshot albums (and certain other albums as the appropriate photos are downloaded/taken/added) are created automatically. When you take pictures with your camera, all photos will land in the Camera album, where you can either keep them there and sort them, or move them into other albums. Going forward, when you go to the all photos tab, the pictures will be sorted by date added, which may or may not be the date taken. The pictures you move to other albums will be sorted in the order you chose for that album. The default for all albums is date order, descending (last picture first).

How might we access pro video, raw, even audio METADATA in phones native os or cam/gallery? Gal23Ultra - no details on codecs, bitrates, original capture date? No way to complete full update of copyrights, models, tags, keyword searches?
