It's been about the same. Never have had many problems with the first beta.

It's unfair how Samsung released the One UI 8.5 to the S25 series only, what about the Z Fold 7 that came out after the S25? Why only S25 got the beta released early and Z Fold 7 didn't?

They are making people feel regretful for trading their phone for the Z Fold 7.

It hasn't been released - it's in Beta. Betas always go to the most recent models.  When the beta is done, it will be released to all eligible models.  Life is not fair, and Samsung can do as they want.

It's like this every year; the Beta always goes to the S Line first, and then they may roll it out to the Z Line and other models in Beta.

Iโ€™m excited to see Galaxy S25 Ultra owners diving into the One UI 8.5 beta. Watching new features roll out is always fun.

But hereโ€™s the part I keep coming back to: Samsung is currently running the beta only for the S25 Ultra on Tโ€‘Mobile (unlocked), which means one carrier and one chipset. Thatโ€™s a relatively contained environment. So why limit the beta to a single model at a time?

SamMobile recently shared a video of One UI 8.5 running on the S24 Ultra, which shows the software is already functional on that hardware. If itโ€™s capable and already in testing, why hold it back from broader release?

From the S23 onward, the architecture is similar enough that these devices should be able to participate. Apple and Google manage multiโ€‘model rollouts, so it feels like Samsung could do the same.

For now, as an S24 Ultra owner, Iโ€™ll live vicariously through my S25 Ultra friends โ€” but I canโ€™t help wondering if capable devices are being sidelined simply because they arenโ€™t the newest flagship.

Again, not a poo-poo for the 25 owners. Have fun with the new features and let us know how it is going!

Probably to quash as many of the common bugs as possible before opening to a wider audience.
