I'm still using Samsung Messages, and a lot of people do. It does have RCS and a lot of features. It just misses the reaction feature, and Samsung should add it. It's a way better and safer app.

Samsung will not be adding any new features to their messaging app, as they are phasing it out in favor of pushing people over to Google.  Google has won the RCS battle.

No, not really. It's not confirmed yet. Google just paid Samsung to have Google Messages pre-installed. Samsung Messages also got an update four days ago, and in Korea, they do have reactions to texts. So, only time will tell. I heard this back in 2019, but it didn't happen yet. 7 years and we still have Samsung messages

Samsung in Korea is not the same as Samsung here.  So, be happy in your little bubble believing that Samsung messages will stick around, be adding features and whatnot.  I'm done here.  You have your belief and I have my knowledge.

I'm one of the many who has still hopes for Samsung massage app to redefine it self. I do hope Samsung are reading our post. If it does or doesn't will see, time will tell. For now us the hopeful people will still sit and wait. I hope this is true 👇

Me too. Seven years now, and Samsung Messages didn't go away, which is great. I hope that too.

Google already have its phone out there, why should we be using Google messaging on Samsung. Sounds like someone one to eat up the market

Because Samsung phones run Android, which is a Google product.

Samsung phones cannot function properly without Google accounts, apps, and services.
