Scrambled app list after OneUI 8

Ever since installation on my Z Flip 5, changing Themes scrambles my apps list. I have it sorted in Alphabetical Order, but changing to a new Theme scrambles it into what looks like a completely random order. 

The only way I can get it sorted alphabetically again is change the Sort to Custom Order, then back to Alphabetical Order. The next time I change Themes it scrambles everything again and I have to repeat the process.

Kinda annoying.

Try using Home Up to turn on alphabetical horizontal scrolling in the app drawer.

Just attempted to replicate the behavior you describe on my device and I am unable to do so.

Have you cleared device cache via recovery mode?

If the issue persists after clearing cache, it may be an error specific to your device. Submit an error report when the issue occurs again by visiting to the Support tab in the Members app and navigating to "Send feedback."

I just had an update on 11-8-25 for my Samsung S24FE and am furious! All of my app icons were in disarray and a lot of them were deleted. I spend hours trying to add them back into my groupings and have to shift them all around again. Why does this happen? I'm having to take screenshots of my groupings on each page so I remember what they all were. The update also changed other settings. On notifications, I no longer get a notification on my front page. I have to go into the app to see if I have anything. I've checked the notification settings and they seem to be correct. Also, there are some websites that I click Add to Home Screen and I look and they never show up on screen. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

If you download and utilize Good Lock's Home up module, there is a backup/restore option to backup and restore your home page layout: groupings and apps.  It will save up to 20 backups.  You can set it to back up daily or weekly (automatically), immediately (manually) when you make a change you want to preserve. Saved my neck more than once.  If your recently downloaded apps are not showing up on your screen, it could be because you have your screen locked, which you may have down to keep your groupings from changing.  Go to the home screen settings and make sure lock home screen is toggled off.
