- Any options for me to be able to save only 1 message with important information and not the whole conversation? How do you isolate that 1 message?

Not with the Google app. It used to work that way when Samsung supported its own app

Delete individual messages

Open the Google Messages app and go to the conversation thread.

Touch and hold the specific message you want to delete until it is highlighted.

Tap the Delete icon (trash can) at the top of the screen.

Tap Delete to confirm.

Note: For RCS (chat) messages, you may have the option to "delete for everyone" or "delete for me." Deleting a message sent by someone else will only remove it from your device.

But how do you save only one message out of the conversation because it has some information you want to keep. We used to put a star on it and then if you deleted the conversation the information with the star stayed intact

If using Google Messenger...

Open the conversation

Press and hold the bubble you wish to save

Tap the star in the upper right

To view these messages, filter all messages to starred.

Note: Messages are usually removed from your carrier's network after thirty days and can be lost at any time after that. For this reason, important messages are best saved as a screenshot.

If you are using Google messages, you can long press on one message in a chat, then tap any other messages you want to remove, when you are done, tap the trashcan at the top of the screen to delete the ones you no longer want. If it's an RCS chat, you will be asked if you want to remove it for everyone, or just for you. You will be left with an indicator in your chat for each removed message, "this message was removed" , which will subsequently change to an indicator that there are missing messages. You can then archive the chat so you don't accidentally delete it. Alternatively, if you just want to save the information contained in the message, just long press the message in question, tap the copy icon on the top and paste it into a note and then delete the chat.
