Fold & Flip PhonesPhone was just inside the 1 year warranty period and in excellent condition. Was on a plane and pulled out my phone and sent a text. The text went out fine then I noticed the screen was frozen. I did a hard reset, Power button and volume down and was able to get the phone to reset. It worked until i closed and reopened the phone when the same issue of unresponsive screen. Phone was sent back to Samsung service. I get a text message that the repair is not covered under warranty. I get passed around various parts of the world being told the upper part of the screen was damaged (which is was not) or they dont cover Hardware repairs. Unable to get a straight answer other than they want approximately $400 to repair the the phone.
i have been a lifelong Samsung customer with over 20 products, I am going to be moving on to Apple. Service and warranty is a joke. They basically will not cover anything and you have no way of talking to anyone who is located in the United States to assist.
