Hello.

Has anyone experienced this issue after this security update?

The wifi button is greyed out and will not connect. I completed all the steps listed on the Samsung support website, and I chatted with a Samsung Rep online to no avail.

Rebooted phone numerous times, cleared cache, activated airplane mode for a while, removed and reinserted the sim card, followed steps in developer mode, rebooted in safe mode, reset network settings.

I am not sure what else to do. I am not located near a Samsung service center.

If you had this same issue and resolved it, please advise. I greatly appreciate it.

Blessings.

Hello, David.

Thank you.

I do not believe the will work, but I will try it for sure.

I appreciate your feedback.

Hello TashaW53, Welcome to the Community. We understand how frustrating it is when you are unable to use Wi-Fi on your phone.

Troubleshooting for Wi-Fi connection include:

1. Reset the settings. Settings>General management>Reset>Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings

2. Test in Safe Mode. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode

3. Clearing the cache partition.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
4. A factory reset.
