My mom had an S22 then decided she wanted a Samsung Flip Phone. Now she's not happy with way the Flip Functions. She is a senior, but she's pretty good with tech (as long as it's not her car).
She specifically does not like having to open and unlock her phone to respond to texts.
Is there a way she can respond to texts without flipping the phone open?
Or can anyone suggest which phone she might consider buying? I'm thinking of getting the ZFold. I don't think she'd like it.

When are we going to get cars with the ability to self drive on ice? These type of events present the most dangerous conditions people are forced into driving despite not knowing how? I forgot they just expect people to stay home.
You have to unlock any phone to see and respond to messages (iphone,galaxy,pixel) its for security reasons. If you want you can set up touch id to make unlocking the phone easier than having to enter a passcode
Why not just go back to a bar phone? Everyone likes the novelty and cuteness of the flips and folds, but all I see are complaints about what *can't* be done on the outer screen. I have to wonder what the point of the outer screen actually is.
You can respond to messages from the cover a screen but you still have to unlock the phone. Personally, I like the fingerprint for unlocking it and using the cover screen (since my finger is already there holding it)
