Fold & Flip Phones@FTB1911 Are you saying that you are seeing multi window in Instragram? So it is after you click an Instagram link?

Fold & Flip Phones@FTB1911 I tested that scenario before my initial response. I'm not seeing that at all on my Fold 7.
I have Multi window enabled and don't see that at all. The Instagram link opens in full window. I tried landscape and portrait.
Have you tried wiping the Instragram app's cache?
Have you tried wiping the device cache partition? It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information. It does not erase any user data nor applications.
To wipe the device cache partition:
1. Power off your device.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears.
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes.
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously.
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

Fold & Flip PhonesSo I sent a test link last night after doing a bunch of settings check. This is what it's doing. Every "help/tutorial" to enable multi window says to turn these settings on... mine are off.

Fold & Flip Phones@FTB1911 Ah, your screenshots provide the clue. That is split screen, not multi view. If you look in the picture with the task bar you will see a Google Messages/Instagram pair. If you look in your Multi window screenshot, you will see the split screen divider between the 2 apps.
What you are doing is clicking the Instagram link and the phone is jumping to the open Instagram app which is the split screen pair with Google Messages. [Edit] That's my theory but I have been unable to duplicate it.

Fold & Flip Phones@FTB1911 I've been trying to duplicate this but I am not. And I have Multi window enabled.
Could you perhaps have some 3rd party app causing it? You can always boot into safe mode to test. If it works properly while booted in safe mode, it is caused by some 3rd party software.

Fold & Flip PhonesNo 3rd party apps I'm aware of.
Edit: i may have "fixed" the pair... I enabled the edge panel (found an article on how to create/remove app pairs through the edge panel) and got the apps separated. It was odd.. Instagram was full screen and messages was on top like a pop up screen.. I closed messages, then Instagram. Opened messages and clicked the link, it went full screen like it should. I turned the edge panel off again and restarted my phone... still works as it should so crossing fingers it stays this way.

Fold & Flip PhonesAnd yes wiped cache like was suggested, samsung/android yet again disregarding user settings and forcing "features" onto users.
I want it OFF
