Having issues with One IU 6.1.1

since updating to 6.1.1, my flip 6 has been having issues where it leaves me unable to flip my phone closed or else it won't turn back on or takes almost 5 to 8 minutes to turn the screen back on. On top of that, it forces a restart which takes almost as long. I'm not sure if I'm the only user having this issue at the moment.

Im considerably sorry for you I don't know how to fix that since I'm not accustomed to the flip or fold try looking up on YouTube since it has basically every tutorial

as far i read, when one ui 6.1.1 rolled out for s23/s24 a few months ago, they were experiencing the same issues. I'm hoping for a new update soon so I'm able to use my phone fully again..

Oh I read the full thing yea it happens with me when my screen goes black all I do is tap around and it turns on sometimes it is a pain though

OMGGG, this is happening to me too! And I'm starting to SWEAR it's only when I'm using Spotify, but I think it's also happened on a Messenger call.

Every time my phone is closed and Spotify is running, either your same issue will happen, or the launcher will freeze and not allow me to do anything, forcing ME to force a restart.

I've tried deciphering the adb logcat logs, but I don't know which Error is the root cause. :'(

I'm so glad I'm not the only one having this issue! I've been scouring the internet, but I guess I've been using the wrong keywords.

I thought I was the only one having the issue at first but I'm glad to know I'm not alone in it! I sent a feedback message to samsung, but the most I got is they were going to escalate the issue up to developers. Pretty much, we'll be stuck with this update until they roll out a bug fixing update (whenever that is).

I'm currently backing up my phone up to my cloud to go into One UI 7 beta testing, but just since the issue started I have already had to restart my phone over 10 times 😞 It's really inconvenient that this is happening since the recent software update.

Have you tried factory resetting? I haven't yet myself, curious whether it's worth it!

I've thought about it early this morning when I started doing all of the back ups. Though, doing a factory reset always has me on the line. I have a feeling it might still have the same issues even if one does it.

I know s23/s24 users were having the issues when 6.1.1 came out for them months ago. Odd for them to now give us this update without fixing the bugs (or if they tried). I was hoping for a quick follow up update, kept refreshing the page to see if one popped up 😭

Well, if I find an actual fix, I promise to come back here and let you know. I thought changing my theme fixed it for a few days, but that's how it's been going every time I think it's fixed 😄 🤣
