Fold/Flip 7 feedback, suggestions

Hey @SamsungMobile, I have some feature suggestions for the upcoming Z Fold series that I believe could enhance the user experience. 

1. Gesture-Controlled Volume Button:

A flat, gesture-sensitive volume button where users can slide up or down to adjust the volume, similar to how the power button integrates the fingerprint sensor.

The button could still be physically pressable for added flexibility.

Adding customizable single and double-tap actions (e.g., app shortcuts or quick commands) would make it even more functional.

2. Built-in S Pen:

Integrating an internal S Pen slot would solve a real issue for users like me who don’t like using phone pouches just to carry the S Pen.

Offering two versions—one with an S Pen and one without—could cater to different budgets and preferences.

3. Refined Camera Design:

The under-display camera (UDC) on the unfolded inner screen is fantastic and adds to the seamless design.

However, the visible hole-punch camera on the outer screen breaks the uniform aesthetic. It would be amazing if Samsung could introduce an under-display camera on the outer screen as well, creating a clean, uninterrupted look on both displays.

I truly believe these improvements would make the Z Fold 7 stand out even more and reinforce Samsung's leadership in foldable innovation.

The fold 7 is rumored to be a lot thinner also only the thickness of the S25U

I know that it's going to be unnecessarily thin. As I previously stated, I'd prefer a thicker version with more battery capacity. My Z Fold5's thickness is fine with me.

How could the Folds not have a 5000maH battery, my A54 does and it's, supposedly, the lesser phone.  For its capacity, though, I haven't noticed extraordinary gain of life over my S10 lite with smaller battery.

The Z Fold5 only has a 4400 mah battery. The much thinner Z Fold7 is also supposed to come with only a 4400 mah battery. Apparently, Samsung has found a way to get the same capacity from a thinner battery. I'd prefer a thicker phone with this newer battery technology providing increased battery capacity.

My S10 lite has a 4500 maH battery.  As I said, I have seen no significant improvement in battery life between the two devices, however, that may be due more to how I use my phones.  I'm retired with a lot of time on my hands, so I'm always web surfing with a lot of screen on time.

I get between 18 and 20 hours with the way I use my A54 with the 5000 mAh battery.  Don't remember what it was with the S10 Lite, but I think it was around 12 to 15.

Having suffered several prematurely worn out phone batteries a decade or so ago, I now always use maximum battery protection, charging only to 80%. Occasionally I have to connect a charger for an unscheduled boost on my phone. My S10+ tablet I'm usually using at home and use it while connected to a charger. In this configuration, the battery is bypassed and maintained at 80%, and not experiencing any wear.

This might be the one where I actually go for it.

I didn't like the skinny cover screen. It would force me to always use it for email, texting. Fat fingers on that screen was a no go for me. Cameras too!
