I updated to the One UI 8 on my z flip 6 & after that all my cover screen widgets that were 4x4 shrunk to only be available as 4x2 or smaller. This is incredibly frustrating, & ridiculous that this happened and there isn't any changes that can be made at this time. Please make the 4x4 widget aspect ratios compatible for the flip 6 again. I know I am not the only one experiencing this problem, so please just be a decent human & help us all out with this.
The speed dial widget, & recent calls widgets are 2 I use frequently and now having them be so small I often mistakenly dial someone else because it is hard to touch the correct contact I'm looking for. Bring back what we need please!!!!!
The changes to the cover screen functionality are abysmal. Tapping a notification no longer launches app, now you need to tap a different icon in that notification. Google Play Store updates: update from notification? Nope, tap a new icon. Mark incoming text messages ad read on the cover screen? Nope tap icon. Read messages or emails...do the notifications disappear once read? Nope, need to swipe them away. So many more. What's the sense in having a flip, if the cover screen functions are almost nonexistent? Shame.
Exactly....these recent changes are not positive changes what so ever...the convenience is becoming less and less. Samsung please do better because if limitations persist what is the point...we might as well be tied down and go to Apple
I updated just today and now can no longer use my phone at all. On starting I am brought to a Welcome One UI 8.0 page with a start button. On clicking this I am brought to a Galaxy AI page that I cannot get out of! I have no access to anything else on my phone. So frustrating. What do I do?

I wholeheartedly agree. For me the worst is the loss of the 4x4 clock widget. I could run timers, use the stopwatch (with a nice "analog" interface) and manage my alarms, all from the cover screen. The new 2x2 and 4x2 widgets are now all basically single purpose toggles, which can't even keep the screen on as the timer/stopwatch is running. Having to tap the widget to basically open the old 4x4 widget is just cumbersome. That is a nice feature to have for the small widgets, but no need to then remove the big one.
My workaround was to uninstall the OneUI 8 version of the clock app in the Samsung app store, and then find the OneUI 7 version online and sideloaded it.
Unfortunately, the widget frequently disappears from the cover screen, and I have to keep re-adding it, but it does work. Fingers crossed that they put it back in the future.
