Hi, I don't know if I'm using Samsung Members app the right way by posting this on here, this is my first time despite me being a Samsung user since the note 10+ release. Anyways, when i was in school i needed a laptop so i bought a book flex 2 or something (all i know is that it's a blue laptop that folds). I took it to school one day and my mom picked me up, she came to a sudden stop out of nowhere and my backpack fell to the ground landing on the corner or something so the hinge broke. I used the laptop like that for a while until the screen started to lift off from the hinge, and ever since then i haven't used the laptop (i think this was around 2021 when they released the flex/fold). I tried taking it to a local repair shop but they couldn't find the hinges anywhere, i reached out to Samsung and they quoted me for half the price of what i got it for which is a little crazy for just a hinge, it's not like the display needed replacing. So, i left it like that for a while and now that I'm in college it'd be useful to have a laptop again so i took it to uBreakiFix and they still can't find the hinges. Why can't repair shops find the hinge? Is this something that only Samsung can fix? Is it even worth paying 600 for just a hinge? What would you guys do? That's basically 1200 down the drain ever since i bought it and on top of that i don't even know if the laptop still turns on, i haven't used it ever since it broke which i think was around 2021 or whenever it was released.

Yeah but I've read online that it's possible to Crack the screen so replacing the whole screen is better? I dunno, maybe that's why Samsung was charging 600 back then

That's always a possibility (cracking the screen). I was just stating that the hinges are available. Sorry I can't help you more than that.
