mobile data unable to connect while on phone call.

I'm on a call and try to get mobile data, I get a screen notification: "Unable to turn mobile data on or off while advanced calling on."

I dont know what "advanced calling" is. I make regular calls.
Also, If mobile data was on prior to the call, the data continues to work while on the call.

That seems to be carrier dependent I dint know if it's changed but know of 2 that don't allow data on calls

my carrier is clearly allowing mobile data on calls, it's just not allowing me to turn on the data while on the call for some strange reason.

This could be due to "Wifi calling." It's a setting under "Connections." I turned mine off long ago as it caused many features to not work correctly. It's a great feature to have for a device if your service is ever disrupted, yet you are connected to a wifi signal. With it enabled, you're able to utilize the wifi as if it were the service provider to your phone. About the only thing off the top of my head I can think of that would interfere like that. If it isn't, my next guess would be software incompatibility to which you will need to start emailing those that wrote the software for your device...

Hi. I have 2 problems. The last few months suddenly I cannot get internet when not in my home. Tried to pull a menu and it said I have no internet. New to me. Always. Any idea how to fix this? Also I am getting vm on visual vm and I can't turn it off so my vm comes the standard way

If you are not connected to a network, you have no internet. If you have mobile data turned off, you have no internet. Just because your wi-fi is on, does not mean you are connected to a network. Out of your home, you will need to connect to a wifi hotspot, someone else's wifi network, or use your mobile data. Voicemail is a carrier issue.

How far away from an actual tower are you? Do you have "UWB" (ultra wide band) enabled on your phone? If so, disable that feature and see if it makes a difference. The range of uwb is quite limited yet can handle more packed info within its broadcast, however many are finding they can't get data at the further reaches of a towers signal and need to switch back to normal 5G mode for their data to work that far away from a tower again.... hope that helps.
