A Series & Other MobileActually, you can turn off the charging sound or you can change it to one of the four system theme sounds. To turn off the charging sound, go to settings/sounds and vibration/system sound and turn the slider off for "charging".

A Series & Other MobileChanging the sound theme will change other sounds, ie the text message notification sound, correct?

A Series & Other MobileNotification sounds are different than system sounds. You can mute system sounds entirely if you don't like any of the four sound themes without affecting the notification sound volume.

A Series & Other MobileAppreciate the replies. I typed up the following before seeing your second reply, so some of it is redundant:
Solution: I ended up turning off the charging sound:
Settings > Sounds and Vibration > System sound > toggle off ''Charging'' option under "Sounds"
There's also a volume level setting under the "System sound" category.
It's really intrusive, annoying and inconsiderate of Samsung to change the personal settings on my phone without telling me or asking for permission.
Now I have to spend time checking to make sure that they didn't change any of the other settings on my phone, such as the security and permission settings.

A Series & Other MobileYou shouldn't have to spend any time at all on that. Sometimes during updates settings get changed or moved to a different category. They also sometimes change the sound of *their* themes without actually changing your theme. What it looks like they did with the battery connect sound is add the sound to the system theme, as it used to have a completely different sound of its own. As for other settings and sounds, you can wait until you hear a sound you don't recognize and than change it back to what it should be. If they changed their sound library with the update, you may end up with different sounds than you chose. This will not affect any sounds you downloaded to customize.
